Exterior Color: Calypso Coral (factory) now showing some wear from years of service

Why this car is rare (quick facts)
The 1970 Torino GT convertible was a low-production model: only about 3,939 GT convertibles were built in 1970 - making GT drop-tops far rarer than GT hardtops and SportsRoof models. That alone places this car into the scarce category for collectors.
Big-block 429's in convertibles were very rare. Specialist listings and Marti-documented examples show only a very small number of N-code (big block) convertibles produced; one source that examined similar Torino option combinations notes only -125 N-code big-block convertibles were built, which helps explain why the Marti Report returns a 1-of-1 result for this exact option combination.
This Torino GT is as rust free as you will find. It's had plenty of dings & scratches but you would be hard pressed to find rust. Also at some time in its life the interior was changed out to Black, which it too is now showing wear.
So there you have it, a rare Torino GT indeed. It is a turn-key car which runs & drives well, which is very solid, but cosmetically does does have a few whiskey dents & scuffs here and there. This is not a restored or show car, but rather a rare original survivor driving car.
